What a fun afternoon we have had today! I had the real pleasure of working with KS2 and we have been testing our spelling and mathematical skills using Spellodrome and Mathletics as part of the three day World Education Games. Children experienced the excitement of challenging friends from all around the world to spell the most words in the fastest time and to answer as many maths questions as they could in one minute. As a mental maths activity, Mathletics is fantastic and allows the children to develop their skills when adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Plus, with the gently competitive element, there is the challenge to perform at your very best! Some seriously good spelling and calculating took place and I’m looking forward to tomorrow with Clover class. We certainly have a lot of talented spellers and Mathletes at Westwood!
