Yesterday was one of those occasions that makes you proud to be associated with a school and a community. Once again the school community and the Westwood community came together for our wonderful Christmas Fair/Fayre. (I can never be sure)
If you weren’t in a particularly festive mood before – I have been since the middle of November! – then the second you walked through our main entrance door you were transported back to years gone by when you remember how exciting Christmas is. Our Friends of Westwood school, masterminded by Ann Windo and Elaine Caddy, have been working tirelessly, but always with a smile, for many many weeks to ensure that yesterday was a success, which of course it was.
From Santa’s Grotto to pampering treatments to popcorn making to the regulation, but brilliantly classy tombola, there was something for everyone. Add in a raffle with some very generous prizes and you had the makings of a wonderful afternoon. Which of course it was. A super atmosphere, plenty of fun and laughter and the whole community joining together for Christmas.
My sincere thanks go to our Friends of Westwood school. Behind the scenes there is so much hard work that goes into the organisation of an event such as this. I would also like to thank everyone who came and supported our school. It was a magical Christmas event which I thoroughly enjoyed. I hope you did too.
