What a fantastic end to a really lovely term. Two excellent performances from the children who, for the last three days of term, were all learning their circus skills with the help of Juggling Jake. After the success of last year, the Friends of Westwood once again kindly paid for Jake to join us and what a time the children had!
Diablo divas, stilt supremos and juggling geniuses aplenty as the circus well and truly set up camp in the school hall. This was, of course, all topped off with performances to parents on Friday afternoon, who could have been forgiven for thinking that they really were in the Big Top. What is always so good to see is those children who have hidden skills and talents that come to the fore, of which there were many. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the last week such a success.
Thank you, also, to those of you who came along to tea with the head. The cakes took a healthy hit and it was good to see so many of you there for a chat. As I mentioned in the newsletter, if you are interested, I will be running an ICT project next term, the details of which are below. In the meantime, have a super half term and fingers crossed for some sun.
