Creating our own music

This afternoon I had the pleasure of teaching in Clover class and the children were using incredibox.com to experiment with sound and drop some serious beats as part of their Sound IPC topic! Of course, we had to record their wonderful efforts and here they are all mashed up for your listening pleasure. Well done everyone!

Year 5 DJs

This afternoon I had the pleasure of working with Year 5, who were creating and mixing music as part of their ‘They see the world like this’ topic. Thank you to Lily for the music that you can hear whilst the video is playing.

Songs now online!

As promised, here are a couple of clips from the songs we recorded on Friday. I think they sound super, well done everyone! CDs can be ordered from the office and the order form can be downloaded from the school website HERE Enjoy…

Merry Christmas Everyone

What a wonderful last week this has been. On Wednesday we had our Christmas lunch and it was great to see so many clean plates from children who clearly enjoyed their festive lunch. The food looked delicious as we served it and smelt even better! Beautiful table manners from everyone ensured that this was an occasion not to be missed.

Yesterday we had the fun and excitement of Thistle and Clover Classes Christmas party and I know that all of the children had such an enjoyable time. This was topped off with a very pleasant tea and mince pies after school. If you were able to come, thank you for doing so, it is always a pleasure to to catch up with you all.

This morning was our Carols around the Tree and I was thrilled to see so many people, who had packed themselves into our hall. For a small village school, it is clear that we have a wonderful community who are incredibly supportive, so thank you so much for coming. With traditional Christmas songs and carols, readings, dance and even live music from all of our talented children, I do hope that you enjoyed the service as much as I did, it was an absolute pleasure to lead it. My thanks to Dave King for accompanying us on the piano.

All that remains now is for me to thank you all for your tremendous support throughout this term. We very much value our relationship with parents, as we see you as such a vital part of our community. May I take this opportunity to wish you a restful Christmas, full of fun and enjoyment and I  hope that Father Christmas brings you what you have asked for…

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year everyone. Have a great time.
